On morphgear: The problem is that people who have the ability often don't have time to do it since the skillset seems to overlap with long hours at a job. Of those that have both the ability and the time, not many own/care about pocket pcs. For those that have the ability and time and care about having pocket pc emulators, we have the emulators we have today.
On controls: They suck. There are attempts at making them better with wireless controllers or plastic clip on things, but that's just not good enough. Anywhere that I would want to use a pocket pc for games vs. a real gaming handheld, I would want to just be able to pull the thing out of my pocket, load up a game and play. The BT gamepad means that, first, I have to carry around this extra thing, and second, it means that I have to find a place to put down the ppc and sit infront of it to play, instead of just holding it like a gameboy. This is why even obscure gadgets like the GP32 have better support than ppc- it's an all-in-one device to play games. Until ppc manufacturers start putting real game controls on the things and/or marketing them for games, there's going to be a really small subset of people who have the ability, time and desire to write emulators for the PPC AND think that it's even worth it due to the crappy controls.
