Do you have Outlook installed? If not, try installing it from the Axim CD and see if that makes a difference.
Short of that, you could try a previous version of AS from the MS website.

Yep, I've tried selecting one item at a time, and any one will give a sync error.. But now, even more strange is that with nothing checked, I'm getting the same error also.. Now just "Guest" will work..
As for outlook, I do have outlook installed, but don't use it.. I have never had a problem until the other day when my Axim developed some startup issue that wouldn't let anything load.. I had to hard reset.. That's when this problem started.. Even after a fresh hard reset (done 3 times now), with nothing extra installed... "Sync Error"
I also tried (3) versions of AS.. 3.6 wouldn't work for my 2003SE system, and 3.7 & 3.8 both have the same error !!
