Exactly. I'd rather have a few days notice and time to prepare, though when its a direct hit like Andrew was, there isn't much you can do but run.
Looks like we lucked out this time, it slowed down and moved west overnight, though the winds and thunder did wake me up a few times, not as bad as we expected.
Still checking the news reports for damage in the area before venturing out. Lots of trees and powerlines down.
