On the same thought as the originally poster, what do people find to be the best video/audio bitrate settings to get good video quality? I've tried many different DVD rippers now - DVD2PPC, Pocket DVD Wizard, Pocket DVD Studio, PocketDVD, etc., trying to zero in on what produces the best quality with the least amount of work. I really don't care too much about the price - I understand that I could sit down and puzzle out how to convert these using the free software, but that would take me far more time than it would take me to make $15-30. All about opportunity costs.
So assuming some standards - in my case, a Dell Axim X50v with 1GB of SD memory in the U.S. - what should I be setting these different programs for in terms of FPS? Bitrate? etc. I've read a lot of threads here, and while understand that increase bitrate should yield increased quality and increased size, I really don't understand what standards I'm working with on the various variables. Is 15fps a standard for the PPC (seems low - didn't I read somewhere that a standard DVD plays at 29.74fps or such?)
