Hi tropicalle.. and welcome! Yes - something must be wrong if you are getting that large of a file... do you know how many podcasts that number represents?
In Ipodder, you can see what was downloaded and what is scheduled to be downloaded... this should help determine the file sizes. I have my system setup to download all the subscriptions each night at 2am and I run a backup program to auto-synch these files to my CF card in the card reader at 4am. Makes it seamless for me (no manual copying) and I use a script to delete the files from the PC upon sucessful synching... next evening, rinse and repeat.
