Here my 2 cents...
I have an X5 Advance for 3 years. I loved it, I used to do almost
everything with it paired with my Ericsson T39m or my Sony-Ericsson
T68i. I used it mostly as PIM, MP3 player, games, map, movies, email,
internet & picture viewer. I thought it was the perfect PDA, until
Father's Day came and wife bought me an i-mate JAM (same as O2 XDA mini,
MDA Compact, HTC Magician).
I cannot believe how small this device is. Those pictures on the
internet don't do justice for this thing. Compare to the X5 Advance,
the JAM is much, much smaller. Though smaller screen, its much
brighter. Basically usage is the same as my X5 Advance (of course, with
the exception of making calls), but the biggest impact for me was when I
went out with my JAM for the first-time, I don't have to carry 3 devices
in my pocket! For the first-time in 3 years, I felt freedom! Freedom
of not having to carry a cellphone, a PDA & a digital camera. 'Just 1
"iPod mini"-sized device. You can use bluetooth headset or just put it
in speakerphone and access your contract list, calendar, notes, etc. all
at the same time! It's like having your entire office desk in your
pocket!!!
Of-course digital camera is still irreplaceable, but for those "I
wished I had my camera with me" moment then it's right there with my
JAM, not to mention it takes videos too!
