You should not have any troubles with buffering. I am a Video Editor and sometimes we do remote sessions and this is what i set up:
I have a seperate Computer (old dual PIII 866 which previously retired). I have it hooked up to my editing system and with Windows Media Encoder I encode multiple streams so that people with faster connections get better video and audio streams. It is almost instantly. One of my clients sits in Sydney Australia and he see what I'm editing about 4-5 seconds later without any buffering.
I have no prewired cable TV at my Office. So, in the off time (where I'm not editing) I stream Cable TV through my network (I usually watch MSNBC). On my local Area Network (1000/100/10Mb and 54Mb Wireless) the delay seems to be around 1 second or less without any buffering on my PPC at 320x240 and even on my laptop at 720x480.
If you need help setting something like that up, please contact me and we can get in thouch on the phone and I'll walk you through.
