Hmmm. I just bought that same movie at Best Buy for 7.99... But, if you are still bent on backing it up, I really like AnyDVD (decrypter) and CloneDVD2 by the smae folks. Of course, this costs money, but I found it to work better than the free programs. I do this with the DVD's I am going to play in the car (cartoons mostly) as they tend to get scratched up. (Yes, I own all the titles I have copied and no, I do not "share" them. -- Royalties are why Hollywood keeps making movies and I don't have a problem with plunking down my share.)
