Techically looking, for a processor emulation, you need maximum 10 times faster CPU to emulate it properly. If one DS' CPU has the speed of 33 Mhz, there should be no problem to emulate both of the processors on an 625 Mhz Axim (33 x 2 x 10 = 660). It's not a big deal to emulate it on a PPC, since it runs fine on single-cpu computer of nearly the same specifications. And 50v even has a 3d graphics chip that could even fasten the speed of emulation.
