However, now wisbar and pocket plus run much more slowly (obviously) than they did when they were in the main memory.

If in wm2k5 all apps (installed on the device itself and not on the expansion cards) are in BIS, won't that make wm2k5 run more slowly?
Will it somehow enhance the way data is transferred from BIS to ram, or will it be just as slow as it is now?

Supposodly everything will be "queue" based so you wont notice a slowdown. It's kind of the same way when you delete something out of the recycle bin or move a file on your hd.. It's not all imediately done, it's slowly done in the background over the next few days.. I am not sure if the HD's cache takes part in this, or if it's dont byte by byte slowly but I do know if you put files in the recycle bin, and delete them, it is not removed imediately, it's appearance in the window panel is gone and windows "tricks" the HD into adjusting the space, but it is not gone. That is why you can use undelete software and recover it.
