My BEL Vector 940 does indeed have VG-2 protection built in. Works fine for me. I've had it go off on a few of them in Florida. But most importantly, I one time forgot to unplug the thing when I went to Virginia (they're illegal there)....and it went off like 20 miles into the state.
Went ahead and took it down at that point.....didn't want it just sitting on my visor in plain sight.
