I've got a Win 98 SE machine that I use to keep my Ax synced and my calendar and things like this site. In the past 4 weeks it has really slowed down where my mouse behaves extremely slow. I've noticed that sometimes when I open an email it really bogs down or when I open multiple windows in firefox. I've cleared all caches and temp files, ran a scandisc and a defrag. I've also run a spybot. All clean and good. this has been just recently. I'm not sure what else to do. One other thing, i am running outlook 2000 and I have done bot a repair on office and a reinstall. Still having issues. Also my Windows updates are all updated as well as office updates. I have outlook 2002 that came with the Axim and i haven't installed that. Everything was working fine and I don't want to install that if I don't have to.
I've gone thru MSCONFIG and cleared out most everything and it still is slow. If I let the PC sit for a while it tends to speed up again then it gradually starts to slow especially as I open more Apps. This never used to happen that's why i question it. I have 512MB memory and that should be sufficient for what I do.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I called Dell for support and I got a support person that was more anxious about her upcoming vacation than helping me, so I hung up on her. I thought I'd try the experts here. Should have done that first. :approve:
