Mobility Site - View Single Post - Duke3d for Pocket PC. SOOO close to getting working controls, need a bit of help.

Hi. Ok so I got duke 3d and it runs fine. I found out my hardware button codes:

Up - 38
Down - 40
Left - 37
Right - 39
button 1 - 193
button 2 - 194
button 3 - 195
button 4 - 196
Joypad button - 134

So I edited the Duke3d.cfg. (Why is there 2 of them btw? Duke3d.cfg and DUKE3D.cfg.txt)

Anyway I set the controls up by editing the cfg file and loaded up the game. It worked and I could skip past intro vids and go up and down the menu! But I couldnt select.

So I then Made an entry into the cfg called Enter - "134" ""

Which actually made my middle joypad button into enter (as in the keyboard button enter)! So I could now enter a game! I could move around but the other hardware buttons didnt work. I could shoot by tapping the screen and that was it.

So I had an idea of deleting and adding things into the cfg such as RCtrl (for shoot), Space (for open), RShift (run) etc. SO they looked like this:

Enter - "134" ""
Space - "193" ""
RCtrl - "194" ""

etc etc etc.

Didnt work. Yet it did for enter and my middle joypad key.

So I can play the game by moving and shooting (tapping on screen) but I cant open doors due to the other hardware buttons not working.

They work on the start screen for skipping the initial videos etc but not in game.

Any ideas and how far have you got?
