That's great news! What that means is that there are two really great tools available for people who would like to convert their ripped DVD content for use on PDAs (or other platforms) without having to continually cough up $$$ for the newest versions of software that doesn't do any better (and frequently does worse) than the freeware!

I downloaded FairUse and was put off by the fact that it only seems to operate against ISOs. But then I started thinking that this may be the best way to rip data from a DVD anyway. I know that DVD-Decrypter can rip TO an ISO, but does anyone know if DVD-Decrypter can rip FROM an ISO. If so, then I’ll always rip to ISO (I keep all my rips on hard-drive all the time – that’s right, I have a BIG HD :)) and then rip VOBs from the ISO only when I need them.

I’m hoping that some day in the not to distant future, I’ll be able to buy a DVD burner to which I can burn un-reduced original DVD ISOs to have true “no data loss” (but unencrypted) backups of my DVDs.
