Hey everyone I just saw that a new version of StyleTap was released today. The thing that caught my attention is under the "Minor Changes" with the following:
- Major performance improvements for graphics-intensive applications and games.
- Special handling for AXIM X50v graphics accelerator (DIB mode color mapping).
- Improved handling of armlets.
Oh, and for those that don't know what StyleTap is, it's a commercial Palm emulator for the Pocket PC. Most all Palm programs now work on the Pocket PC and at near full speed. My x50v is comperable to a Tungsten T in speed based upon "Speedy 5.2" benchmark program.
I can also verify that the graphics portion is faster now over the previous beta release.

Well, another way of comparing performance, though this isn't with the latest version, is a published comparison of the results of Palm Hiarcs, the top commercial chess program for the Palm, which reportedly runs about 25% slower than equivalent CPUs on a Palm machine.
