I tried that and I ended up with no audio at all

I was able to succesfully use the brightness/contrast filter though.

Do you guys recommend reformatting a wide screen film to fill the whole 320 X 240? For example the source avi file I am re-encoding is 512 X 272. Following the instructions posted in the sticky, I enter 320 X 177. I think that if I try to fill the whole screen, it'll distort the picture too much. Any tips or tricks that I mmissed?
