NVD allows your device to run at ANY virtual resolution and/or orientation. The virtual display can be panned or compressed to fit the physical display or arbitrarily magnified.
NVD also support external displays when used with display adapters from Colographic, Margi, LifeView, Toshiba, Icuiti and the Dell Axim X50v VGA output cable. When used with an external display, the internal display can be converted into a touch pad pointing device. NVD even add a mouse pointer. Add a wireless keyboard and the X50v becomes a desktop computer cabable of TRUE 1280x1024 resolution on an external display. I believe there are several threads on AximSite discussing this.
NVD also allow you to change system colors and fonts just like on your desktop.
