Excellent video and audio quality, original frame rate, 320x240, about 500MB for 1+1/2 hour flick.
Very usable at higher compressions as well, I just like to have 2 (1GB) or 4 (2GB) concerts or movies per SD card.
(AnyDVD and DivxPro can be trialed, smart ripper is free.)

If you're really doing all that to encode a DVD, you REALLY need to give Fairuse a try.
