I had GREAT success putting 1:59 of 30fps on VGA in ~1GB. The sound and video quality is outstanding, near-DVD quality. No flickering, which I attribute to the superior video of the X50v.
I benchmarked it on my X50v and I ran 155% with the standard CPU clock speed settings on the PDA.
P.S. I have 6 2GB SD cards and as many 1GB SD cards... I calculated the data rate versus benchmarking the cards: I've got nice headroom there too.
The only diappointing thing is my QVGA device cannot shrink VGA sized video fast enough. I can only benchmark at about 65%, so I will need to keep a separate collection of QVGA versus VGA videos if I intend to continue using my old PDA with video...
