Built in storage. BIS is not volatile and will not be lost during a hard reset.

Main memory is volatile, and also known as ram. Saving progs to main memory means they get deleted if you do a hard reset. Main memory is necessary to run programs, so try not to store anything on it.

Storage card memory is the 3rd type and will not be lost during a hard reset. For more info see the tutorials or search the site for memory.
