You're talking about the Dell kiosks where you can see/try out some of the products, right? Not all of the kiosks carry the X50v on display, not even here in Ontario. (I found this out before I ordered mine.) However, you can still place orders for whatever Dell sells, which is what the rep told you. That's how the kiosks operate.
