It depends on several different factors. How long the movie is, what type of movie (darker ones take less space to encode), and most of all what you consider a "decent picture". Like I said before a good rule of thumb is 100MB per 30 min of video. This puts a 1:30 movie at 300MB. Another tip is to change the sound to 96Kb/s. You won't notice a difference and it leaves more space for movie(picture) encodeing.

I have done some at 250 just to fit it on a card before and found the results to be just fine. Your best bet is to do a few at different settings and see what is good for you. If you can find a 3-4 min trailer on a dvd and encode it at several different settings to get an idea. But 512 is big enough for 1-2 movies anyway. Good Luck~
