No sucess with me

"I was bored last night and decided to make my very own x50 series recharge station. I used a series of 4 AA NI-MH 2000Mah Digital batterys that i found at wal-mart. Stuck them together in a series using a old adaptor found in an old toy.
Stripped the ends of the wires and hooked them up to a male power plug found in an old LG cellphone charger cable. This way I can keep this thing in my bag or backpack and charge my X50 anytime i put it in there. Also note that the X50/X50v CAN BE USED while its charging and there is absolutly no flickering whatsoever. It is a fully functional extended battery pack for any device that uses this plug size and 5 volts of power.
I believe the PSP can also be charged using this, not 100% sure, i dont own a psp. But this is a great way to make your own homemade extended battery for pennies"

I repeated the all - 100%. Now the ABMER charging Light in turned ON - but yet it does not charge in Setting > Power. Infact battery power reduced with time. And YES the AMBER Light stays ON (as if charging.

Anything wrong with my Axim X50V or soemthing else? Has anbody else sucess with this / other charging options tried at home EXCEPT DELL or other OFFICALLY sold power accessories for X50V? It doesn't charge even with 5V DC. I have tried and tested this. It charges only with Dell Cradle or Dell Power Plug in my case. I earlies had USB Sync-Charge cable which worked fine till A05 upgrade. Than it never charge although syncs correctly. What I wondered many a times is that if my USB Sync-Charged worked finr earlier why it stopped charging all of a sudden and forever? I inspected connetions and these are all OK. Is there a problem with charging circuit inside my X50v? Has anybody else has problems with USB-Sync-Charger like mine? I tries with USB port of a laptop (powered one) / another laptop / Mains-USB adapter etc and no sucess. No sucess with this 4A4 2100 mAH batteries in series.
