ahh, Chistmas in Summertime!! Just got my X50v and read everything first. Of course, it is charging now but I had the sync cable plugged into the back of my laptop when I installed the Active Sync CD that came it. It expressly says not to do that...in several places (I thought I did pull out the sync cable but it was a different one).

Soooo...did I 'screw the pooch' here? How bad is this? There is no ticking sound, so I know explosives aren't involved.

New to site also...great info!!
