and what makes you think the chemical reaction in a fuel cell isn't in a controlled environment?
This technology is still a few years away from general availability. There are valid concerns about methanol being a flammable substance, which could cause security problem on airplanes and such.
Obviously, everyone wants better power sources. I for one would love just to be able to fill my car with tap water then go, but it's still science fiction. We are here to discuss reality.
