It sometimes does so, independent on the size of the actual RAM/target media (as I've also pointed out in my articles/posts on Resco).

The solution is simple: always soft-reset your PDA (or, at least, exit Resco if it's already running) before starting the recording. It'll greatly reduce the number of problems like this.
