Well, it's pretty much exactly quake. It is in landscape mode. There are configurable "buttons" on the right hand side of the screen. They are color coded and are preconfigured pretty well. It runs pretty smoothly, except when you get close to monsters, or when there are more than say 3 on the screen at a time. The full install is a whopping 52mb. You have the option of only installing level 1, or the full game.
The buttons on the right move your view up/down. The rest of the touchscreen cant be used at all besides the weapon change "button" on the left upper side of the screen. There is a basic auto-aim script going on. I noticed my gun automatically aimed at the monsters once I got within a certain distance. Not sure if the orig. quake did this or not. If you DO move your view up or down, it recenters once you begin moving again (a good thing)
There IS a strafe. You hold down one of the buttons on the right and your dpad L and R becomes strafe.
The game could definitely use some music. My 2gig card has MORe than enough room for it!
I might attempt some shots with my digi cam, but who knows how they will turn out.
