In my experience with it (Axim x50v) others can hear me just fine, though it sounds like I'm in a big empty auditorium. Sadly, I can't hear them very well. You should make sure that the processor is set to "maximum performance" and that there are no other applications running... but it's still difficult to understand people's voices, and they get tired of you saying, "What? Come again?"
Fine for the rare case when you're in an emergency and happen to be in a WiFi spot.
