I use Skype daily with my X50v. The sound quality is great. As good as a landline--but that's to other computers.

I've tried Skype Out with my X50v and my regular computer and I'm not that impressed. Sometimes the calls go through without a hitch, but more often than not it sounds like a crappy cell phone. Skype Out is the pay service Skype offers to call landlines and cell phones. It still needs some work.

I do think Skype is fantastic for the Axim X50v. I've never had a problem and I use it daily.
