if you're still looking, i highly recommend the kodak cx4200. it's 2 megapixels, so don't plan on taking professional quality photos with it, but its ideal for casual photo-taking. the pictures are great, generally more than adequate for basic usage.
it's also a relatively small and light camera.
if you buy it from amazon.com, it's $135, plus a free SD card (which fits in the axim of course) or a $30 discount on a bigger card. USE THE DISCOUNT. for only $6 more you can double the memory capacity.
the price oscillates from 135 to 147, presumably because the cheap ones go fast, but check back frequently, you should be able to get the better price. also free shipping.
and get rechargeable batteries and a battery charger--they will save you a LOT of money. battery life in the camera is pretty good, too, btw, but i use 1800 mah NiMH rechargeables, so ordinary alkaline batteries might be a different story.
