It should be easy enough to add in MP3 support - it'd be nice to be able to at least rip the NIN music and put the files in with Quake.
There was a very nice PC Quake port I saw a while back, I wonder now - maybe it was FuhQuake? Think so. Anyway, it had a Winamp control in-game, so you could run Winamp in the background - having set up your playlist, you could then control it from within Quake's menus which was a nice little feature to have.
To be honest with you, I personally think their priorities are:
- Speed increase - we need some serious optimisation to make it nice and smooth, not jerky and laggy! We KNOW our X50v's are capable of more than this, so let's hope they can tune it up some more! :)
- Better controls - everyone wants stylus control at least, but we're getting that! :) They confirmed that they've already started work on that in the email I got from them.
- Multiplayer - WiFi, Bluetooth - maybe even infra red for playing against (jealously drooling) friends with older PPCs running PocketQuake? :)
I described these in the email I sent them, along with other bits and pieces. They really seem to like hearing our comments, so let's give them some encouragement! :approve:
We really can't miss this chance to have a cracking 3D accellerated FPS game on our nice Axims. Heck knows, if we can help make it a success, maybe they'll be encouraged to go ahead and port some other Quake games - Quake 2 and 3 are there and ready for the taking - who knows? We really need more i2700G enabled games.
Don't be disappointed with your purchase, mate. :) Give them some encouragement to continue working.
Please keep working at it, Pulse Mobile! :approve:
