The Database File itself should not be "operating system specific" but rather "application specific" so you should be able to copy it to a SD card and then onto a new Axim.
As an example I can copy a Handbase Database from My Ipaq 5455 to the SDCARD and then put that card in a Axim X51V and copy it to the X51V. As long as the Handbase Application is compatible and can be installed on the X51V Im good as gold.
