400 MHz processor...
64 MB SDR
Onboard Video
The above is a description of a sys-m i had gotten to run morrowind (ES3) smoothly (had to rip the ass off it tho)... it ran smoothly at 640x480.
The Dell Axim X5 has similar specs, except for maybe the video is a bit weak, but the maximum res. on the axim is 240X320, which is a flipped 320x240, which is in perfect proportion to 640x480, only you need 1/4 the pixels = 1/4 the rendering power. tone down the details, make sprites out of half the things (just please to god not the people... MAYBE weapons but NOT environment....). On To space: a rip of morrowind (out of sick curiosity i downloaded this, with no movies and half the music missing) takes up 579MB... you modify that all to work on ppc02 and itll go down to 450. If the company that does all this puts it all on a 512MB memory card (which im sure would cost <$75 in bulk) and slaps a $125 price tag on it, i'll be waiting for it to hit stores.
Besides, the PS2 has a 294.912 MHz processor... the axim has 400, and look at the graphics they put on the PS2... makes me sick.
P.s. I know that there are hundreds of variables other than clock, but at 1.5X clock speed, i'm surprised at why we're not seeing announcements of Doom III on this end of the market...
