I would agree with Telengard; transfers from SD to CF will definitely take awhile regardless of brand of memory. Besides, even the best brands (e.g., Lexar) have been known to fail or have problems.

Try the card reader option as suggested, or install Card Export II which allows your pc to see the memory cards in your Axim as virtual drives. Alternatively, you can invest in a photo bank device to save upload your files to each day. In addition, you can burn CDs from your card at photo stores.
