My x51v will not sync either. After convincing my boyfriend to letting me install sp2 on the shared pc (we're sharing until we get a house. There's only room for one linux machine and one windows machine under the desk), I was very dissapointed to find that my axim wouldn't sync.

I checked under Network Adapters, attempted to fix the errors, and all of a sudden the pc recognized it, before having installed anything. Go figure. Now, I can browse but can't sync. Ugh, this is frustrating. And I'm not using MobilePhoneTools, btw. You're not alone. However, I was able to sync it with my work pc, before I had done a hard reset. I'll find out tomorrow if I can still sync it with that machine, assuming that my boss hasn't found out that I installed active sync on there - they're nazis about external software/hardware.

Edit: WooHoo!!! I got it to work. Um,

I tried to sync it with the exchange server at work. Yea, I neglected to remove that setting when I was trying to sync it (after "fixing" the errors via network adapters). Removed the server settings, and tada!
