I did uninstall MSreader first and I have the same version and build as you. The problem e-books do have lit extension.
I moved these e-books to main storage and they seem to be working better but only when I open the e-book file. When I open MS reader first, the e-books still freezes.
While not ideal, at least I can read e-books now.
