Since the IPAQ is not on the approved list of IT provided equipment (i.e. the IT department hasn't begun overcharging for it yet) then there is no reason to have activesynch. I do not have administrator priviledges to install it and the network is scanned for unauthorized software anyways. I would like to be able to transfer the notes, calendars, and files to the IPAQ, but haven't found a easy way other than activesynch. Oh well, talking the pst files home and synching there is a cumbersome, but effective way. Thanks for any ideas you can think of.

Bump.....I am in the same situation having bought a personal X51v after being told using Activesync was no problem, then being threatened with action against me if I connected it to my PC !! Anyway, looking at the best way to get the calendar across through other means
