Once upon a time I borrowed a friends card reader and transferred files from my PC to the SD card via the card reader. The Axim wouldn't recognize it, nor would it show the freed space when I deleted files. It seemed that anything I tried with the card reader wasn't recognized on the Axim. My thought at the time is that everything had to be transferred via ActivSync. I haven't had any problems with anything if I use the explorer function in ActiveSync to transfer the files, but it is really really slow.
I am still searching the forums to see if anyone knows of a card reader that does work with the Axim as I am tired of the slow speed going through ActiveSync.

Yeah, I had the same problem with ActiveSync; ran forever, then froze up. Somebody suggested I should get a card reader to circumvent the activesync process; but my core reader is not able to find the movie or at least recognize it at this point. The available memory on my cf card shows that the movie has been transferred to it.
