I am not sure as to what effect it has with disabling a firewall. The workaround works great, and I don't get any error messages anymore. The process has you open up ports through your firewall, both TCP/UDP. It has directions for Sygate, Trend Micro, Zone Alam, Norton, and McAfee. The directions can be found here:
