Tengo Thumb downloaded
My stylus broke and I didn't like the block recognizer or the other built in input options. The block recognizer requires slow input. If you write too fast it doesn't catch the correct letters. If you mistype it requires several keystrokes to move the cursor backwards.
So I've read a little about Tengo and discovered they have 2 products, Tengo keyboard and Tengo thumb. The keyboard has basically 6 buttons that you press w/your stylus. Each button has 4 or 5 letters on it. It uses autocomplete to guess what you're trying to type. Good product, but I didn't want to use a stylus. It goes for $19.95.
Then I tried Tengo thumb. Same concept as above but the buttons are big enough to use your finger. I tried to trip it up and couldn't. If you type a word that isn't in its dictionary it lets you manually spell the new word, then adds it to its dictionary. I've just downloaded it and will give it a more thorough trial, but so far I love it. This one retails for only $12.95, though I don't know why it's so much cheaper than the keyboard product.
Does anyone else have experience w/this or similar progs?
