I was going to say that .lit files need to be somewhere in a My Documents folder or sub-folder, but I just tried moving some books around to different cards and folders, and Reader found them every time. If it's just the dictionary you're having difficulty with, are you able to open it with the desktop Reader? I did have one dictionary that was corrupt and generated a Reader system error, but I don't even remember where I got that file -- it didn't have the same filename or size as the ones on the Reader downloads page.
