Wow, I just downloaded tengo thumb and it is really easy to get used to. I agree that if you are a touch typist it will come really natural. Within a few minutes I was typing sentences far faster than I'd be able to with the stylus or a even a full screen keyboard.
The only problem is when you get to the end and realize it doesn't know the word. You have to backup and go letter by letter. This would become less and less of an issue because it adds words to the dictionary as it goes.
I suggest everyone give the demo a shot.
