The support person now working on this is supposed to be in the "Pro" group specializing in PDA related issues. V3.8 will install, but of course that is not particularly useful as it will not work with WM 5 in the X51v. It has been an interesting experience. The present support person is clearly pretty savy, but nothing has worked so far. Every install attempt fails during the install with an "installation has been interrupted" message. Something really goofy in ActiveSync. I will post the results what ever they maybe in the next few days. The Axim is a great PDA, but I am having a hell of time communicating with it! I am also finding that very little software has been made fully compatible with WM 5 yet, (at least the stuff I am interested in). Sometimes the bleeding edge is soooo painful.

I had this issue on both of my machines. Download AS version 4.0 to your machine from the MS website (or google for AS.4.1 that has been leaked) and install from the executable file.
BTW, I returned my x51v because I could never get the thing to sync.
