I have a new Axim x51v and I'm attempting to use ActiveSync to sync with Outlook 2002 (Office XP Professional) on my Windows 2003 Server laptop. I am a Palm user who used PocketMirror to sync my Palm Desktop to Outlook.
I can explore the Axim using ActiveSync 4.0.0 (build 4343) but when I try and sync anything such as Contacts, Calendar, etc. to Outlook I get an error 85010014 (see screenshot below). So far I have tried the following, based on reading this (

) as well as numerous other web forum posts including this one, to fix the problem with NO luck:
1. I uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook from the Office XP cds
2. I disconnected the Axim and did a 'File > Delete Mobile Device' in ActiveSync, then reattached Axim and re-initialized the sync.
3. I have tried to sync one function at a time (e.g. only Contacts)
4. I have turned off the Windows Firewall completely
5. On Outlook, I did Help > Detect and Repair
6. On the Local Area Connection for the Mobile device I changed to properties to NOT enable the 'Network Monitor Driver'.
I have also tried to set up IR on my laptop to sync using that method but can't get that hardware device working.
Any help in solving this very frustrating problem is much appreciated. I would hate to send back the x51v but if I can't get syncing to work the PDA is useless to me.
