I use xvid and set it to 6. plz try it, I highly recommend. but encoding xvid is slower, comparing to divx fixed bitrate(3Xfps vs 9Xfps). but quality is noticeable better, even on the ppc screen.
btw, I think 512mb storage can hold a much higher bitrate movie. and 475 is not very good in quality.
