Are you saying that the x51v does not have a backup battery? The point of the backup battery is to allow one to swap batteries without losing the contents of ram. Does swapping batteries on the x51v make the device do a soft-reset?

My understanding is that the x51 does not have a backup battery. It has some thingy that's supposed to give you a few seconds to switch batteries, but I've heard a lot of complaints that it doesn't work--namely that swapping batteries soft resets the machine.
