I want to use my Axim for contacts. But I DON'T want those contacts on my desktop PC, which is always connected to the internet. I tried typing contacts into OUTLOOK on the Desktop, then synching it to the Axim. Nice and fast. THen I erased it from the desktop, and it erased it from the AXIM! (I guess I sort of expected this...)

Is there any way to selectively SYNCH material, or any other way out of this problem? Even if I synch with a different computer, if I EVER synch to my desktop, will it take all my Axim contacts and then put them on the desktop again? I guess that's what synching is supposed to do....

Maybe I could put a copy of Outlook on an SD card, run that from the desktop via USB......but when the AXIM starts to synch with the desktop, .............or am I just stuck here......is that just what synching is all about?
