I chose to buy Conduits Pocket Slides (over pocket slideshow) and ClearVue Suit.
Conduits Pocket Slides: full editing control, create any kind of slideshow right on your PPC! works great and I never had any conversion problems. But I never tried with a 400MB .ppt file like GiGi did.
ClearVue Powerpoint: view .ppt files on your PPC without any conversions.
Pocket Slideshow: very limited editing features. As far as I remember it only supported merging of slides and transition effects when I tried it. I'm not sure (Gigi might be able to correct me there) but I don't think it even lets you create any new slideshows! I wouldn't recommend it.
