I upgrade my X50v to WM5 and had no problems with claunch on my device, instead using Magic button or vbar I use
GS Pocket Magic is free as well and works great.

As a PalmOS refugee, the Today screen is still a bit of a mystery to me. I have read many fine posts, including Tanker Bob's great page on migration from Palm to PPC.
My current plans for Today tweaks include cLaunch (because I really want tabs and icons) and either vBar or Magic Button, which as far as I can tell do the same thing as each other. I am leaning towards Magic Button.
I eagerly await your advice!
