I use both MS Reader and eReader (formerly Palm Reader) on my PDA.

MS Reader is okay (but it will remind you it is not 'Activated' - a type of DRM really - on the opening splash page until you sync it with Passport online), while eReader (even in the free version) has the added advantage of reopening an ebook at the last bookmark at startup.

Sites like Memoware offer tons of free books, especially of the eReader/Palm Reader variety.

I suppose you could also use Adobe Reader on the PPC as a reader of the ebooks available for that format as well...
